This large rectangular wooden tray beautifully showcases the hand-painted craftsmanship of Indian artisans.

Its bright and intense orange background features a large floral and geometric rosette at the centre, composed of numerous small details in shades of green, yellow, pink, blue and white. Small colourful decorative motifs are arranged around the central composition, adding movement to the overall design.

The decoration is framed by a succession of multicoloured ornamental panels. Olive green, mustard yellow, purple and burgundy alternate with fine scrollwork, stylised flowers and graphic motifs.

The wide orange raised edges are also decorated with delicate painted friezes, highlighting the shape of the tray and reinforcing its handcrafted character. Two integrated cut-out handles make it easy to carry.
