This carved old teak bench combines a sturdy construction with highly decorative woodwork.

Its thick rectangular seat has a deliberately simple design that preserves the natural grain, shades and visible marks of the teak. This contrasts with the much more detailed front, composed of several carved relief friezes.

The front apron features a succession of floral and botanical motifs, framed by geometric carved borders. Along the lower edge, small pendant-shaped carved elements create additional depth and decoration across the full width of the bench.

The four substantial legs give the piece a stable and balanced silhouette, while the softly weathered brown patina highlights the carved details and the character of the old teak.

Measuring 128 x 41 x 50 cm, this bench can be used as an entryway bench, occasional seating in a living room, an end-of-bed bench, or around a large dining table. Its proportions combine everyday functionality with strong decorative presence.

Selected in India by Les Intérieurs d’Ailleurs, this teak bench is a distinctive piece that highlights carved woodwork and the natural irregularities of aged materials.
